When we started cruising, our boat came with cheap toy headsets that never stayed charged and fell off if we looked down. Hand signals didn’t work—we wanted to talk about where we were anchoring, not just wave arms. Yelling across the boat led to miscommunication, frustration, and general unpleasantness.
Getting a pair of GOOD headsets was a total game-changer. We can talk calmly about decisions, warn each other if something goes wrong (like the time the engine overheated as we were pulling up the anchor), and coordinate when one of us is up the mast. I consider them essential equipment for any cruising couple.

How to Use Your 2Talk Headsets
Fully charge before first use – Plug into any USB power source for about 1.5 hours until fully charged.
Put them on – The behind-the-neck design works with hats and glasses and won’t fall off when you look down.
Turn them on – Power up both headsets; they auto-pair, so they’re ready to use immediately.
Say hello – Just start speaking to your partner to confirm the connection.
Adjust volume – Use the + and – buttons to set a comfortable level for your surroundings.
Talk naturally – Full-duplex lets you both speak and listen at the same time, no buttons to press.
After use – While the lithium batteries have long life, we recommend recharging after each use so they’re always ready.
Store safely – Keep the set in the included storage case to protect from damage and dust.
Yes — it’s really that simple.

Meet The Boat Galley Team
At The Boat Galley, we’re all cruisers. We know the joys—and the challenges—of boat life. The steep learning curve, costly mistakes, and hours spent searching for answers can be overwhelming. We’ve been there. Here, in our store, you’ll find products we created when we couldn’t find what we needed, along with a select few from other small companies that we’ve used for years (sometimes over a decade!) and still rely on today. If it’s here, it’s because it’s earned our trust on the water.

Last time we launched and retrieved the boat at the lake launch ramp the wind was loud and the engine was noisy and we couldn’t hear each other. We are so looking forward to using these.

Use them on our boat and take them on every catamaran charter in the BVI
We bought a pair of these from you a few years ago and love them. We use them on our boat all the time and take them with us on every catamaran charter in the BVI. The best thing about them is that they have turned potentially dicey situations into easy events because we can just have calm conversations in a normal tone of voice, which helps tremendously. I thought my sailor friends who have gone on charters with us would be skeptical and insist that traditional hand signals would do for picking up mooring . . . but they loved them too. These are truly wonderful tools for any close-quarter maneuvering.

2Talk Headsets Preliminary Use
I have not actually used these yet "in the field", but wanted to take a moment to let people know that so far they are as advertised. They worked perfectly right out of the box, are pre-paired as described and my wife is excited that we can have both hands free while working together at different points on the vessel. The clarity is very good so far. Hope this helps. - Dwayne S.
