Ideas for Sharing Your Affiliate Links

Looking for ways to share your affiliate link?

Whether you're on social media, teaching a class, or just chatting with a friend, here are easy ways to spread the word—and earn a commission while you’re at it. Always remember to mention that your link gives people 10% off. It helps them and gives them a reason to use your link instead of buying without it.

On Video & Audio Platforms

  • Mention your favorite Boat Galley product or course in a YouTube or Vimeo video—whether it’s a dedicated review or part of a longer cruising episode. Add your link in the video description.

  • Give us a shout-out in a podcast and include your affiliate link in the show notes.

On Social Media

  • Snap a photo of how you use one of our products—like a cruising guide at the helm or your logbook in action—and share it with a short caption and your link.

  • Post a food pic from The Boat Galley Cookbook—whether it’s while cooking or the finished meal—and include your link to the cookbook.

  • Record a quick Reel or TikTok about a course or product you’ve used and why you like it—then drop your link in the caption.

  • Share a Story on Facebook or Instagram recommending something specific (like our Bahamas Guide!) and include your link or a QR code.

  • Post a “top 5” list—your favorite gear, go-to tools, or best learning resources—and feature a Boat Galley product with your link.

  • Add your link to your bio or Linktree—especially helpful on Instagram, TikTok, Threads, or Bluesky.

  • Mention a relevant course or guide in cruising forums or Facebook groups when appropriate (and allowed).

Blogs & Newsletters

  • Write a blog post about how a specific Boat Galley product or course helped you—whether it solved a problem, saved time, or made life aboard easier.

  • Share a resource recommendation in your newsletter with your affiliate link—like telling new cruisers about the All Access Pass and how much it covers.

Email & Text

  • Email or text your link to a friend or fellow cruiser who could use a specific product. Don’t forget to mention the 10% discount—it’s a great reason for them to buy through your link!

In Person or Teaching

  • Giving a seminar or webinar? Mention a related product or course and share your link in follow-ups.

  • Add your link—or turn it into a QR code—for use in printed handouts or presentation slides. Include a note about the discount so attendees are more likely to use it.

  • Talk up your favorite resources when chatting with cruisers in person, and have your link saved in your phone so it’s easy to share.
